I am so excited to have been asked to take part in the 2012 Festival Bloggers Project, and am really looking forward to sharing our first Out of the Box experiences with you.
I am a new Mum to my beautiful baby boy Archie, who is just over three months old. We live in Brisbane with husband and Daddy extraordinaire Loc. Our time is best spent cuddling and eating with our family and friends, enjoying the sunshine when we find the motivation to drag ourselves out of our "baby-haze", or preferably both at the same time!
Creative things are a big part of our little family. In a past life I was a high school Drama teacher which means the arts is really close to my heart. Both Loc and I have been keen to expose Archie to the wonderful world of music, storytelling and imagination from his day dot.

Motherhood has REALLY changed my life. It's changed how I go about pretty much everything I do. While heading to festival workshops and performances used to be a simple, relaxing endeavour, I now know that any trip out of the house requires a lot more time and planning. So, our OOTB blog is sure to have a few real life 'mumma travelling with baby' stories as well as what we do with the characters, stories, playtime and performances that we encounter during our 2012 Out of the Box experience.
It is exciting to see Archie interacting with his world more and more every day. I'm sure that when the Festival rolls around in a month's time, he will be engaging with life on a whole new level and I can't wait to see how he responds to his first moment of seeing live arts. I hope you'll share our OOTB journey, or even better, that we might see you there!
